The Bible states that God Himself wrote the Ten Commandments.
Those that say they are copies from other texts are merely lazy and not researchers looking for truth. They have their own personal hangups that they have yet to resolve so they attempt to relieve their inner torment by trying to scoffing at those who accept the truth. When you ask them to produce anything that compares with the Ten Commandments they cannot because they do not exist. But they will show how juvenile they are as they say that the truth is false.
The difference between the Ten Commandments and any other listing or form of commandments is that five of the Ten Commandments refer to God Himself. In fact, the Ten Commandments are so sophisticated that they cover every aspect of life when understood in their broadest sense.
I have seen a limit to all perfection, but thy commandment is exceedingly broad. (Psalm 119:96)Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.(Psalm 1:1-3)
If you want to learn how significant the Ten Commandments are and understand why God Himself wrote them, you need to meditate them with an honest heart.
