Not to my knowledge. Why would Jesus say that someone greater than Him would come when He is the Word of God made flesh through whom the Universe and life itself came into existence?
- In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God.All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. (John 1:1-4)
- [Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently. (Colossians 1:15-19)
Maybe an atheist who denies Lord Jesus Christ might be greater than Him because the atheist has chosen to reject the Lord of Life. This is the power of freewill. Freewill enables people to be greater than the Lord of Life, because the possessor has the power to deny Him.
But other than anyone being able to deny Lord Jesus Christ, there is no one coming after Him who is greater.
Ironically, in order to assert power over God, one has to suffer eternal separation from the source of life and all that goes to making life worthwhile. And people like to think those who deny the Creator as bright—more like brightness of lightning or falling stars, really.
