Spirits are identifiable, if they approach you and you are walking in the light of life. For just as you will see a person outside in the dark, who looks in the window of a lit room, so, too, can spirits be seen.
Life is about experience. People who have lived on a tropical island all their lives and, who have never seen snow, cannot conceive of what it would be like to live in an area where there is snow all year round, let alone grasp what snow looks like. Likewise, those living in northern Siberia would not have any concept of living in Namibia (The sandiest place on earth..literally).
People who are short on experience, but big on books, end up being know-alls, yet, in the scheme of things, they know very little at all. Applied knowledge produces much richer experiences in life and a greater appreciation of what is available when it comes to being a sentient being.
Experience does not need to be repeated over and over again. A person, who learns how to dig a hole, does not have to keep digging for the rest of his days. If a person does, those days will probably be short-lived. Avalanches need not occur on mountains, just a pile of dirt on the side of a large hole is sufficient for a fait accompli.
Spirits are very real. Unless you are in the business of divesting their influence on your life, they will probably not manifest. Once you have gotten yourself free of those sneaky creatures, then, if you are walking in the light, you will begin to see more of them; especially when your light begins to shine upon others and the spirits are feeling the compulsion to leave their hosts—or victims.
- And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. But rise and stand upon your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you to serve and bear witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles—to whom I send you to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ (Acts 26:15-18)
- Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” And the man, in whom the evil spirit was, leaped on them, mastered all of them, and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. (Acts 19:14-16)
Just as you are reading this and cannot see me, so, too, are there beings that can see you, which are very real and are seeking to influence people to do evil in this physical dimension that we live—even though the spirit beings themselves are not physical. Call them spirits if you like, for sometimes, like the face at the window outside in the dark, all you see is an outline—a silhouette. Let’s face it, these creatures watch us all, waiting for their opportunity to come and live within us.
- “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, but he finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and brings with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. So shall it be also with this evil generation.” (Matthew 12:43-45)
