THE SIN OF PROSELYTING PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN OTHER WORLDVIEWS OTHER THAN CHRISTIANITY AFFECTS ONLY THOSE WHOSE RIGHTS ARE DISREGARDED BY THE ONES ATTEMPTING TO MAKE THE CONVERSION. The Right Of Every Person To Say No To Threats Of Conversion Ought To Be Respected If Love Is The Governing Principle Of A Religion, But Do Not Expect This To Be The Case If The Sword Is The Governing Principle. There are many espousing worldviews who do not see proselyting as part of their mission, while others believe they have no reason to live if they are not seeking converts.

Probably better: Does a person commit a sin of omission, if he knows it is right to evangelize, but does not?

There are two types of sin that are referred to as “omission” and “commission”. Since the question you ask appears to be confused by many and only a Calvinist would think evangelism would be a sin. I consulted the Calvinist website “Got Questions” What is a sin of omission?

Answer:
James 4:17 declares, "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." A sin of omission is a sin that is the result of not doing something God’s Word teaches that we should do. It is generally used in contrast with the corresponding phrase “the sin of commission,” or sins that a person actively commits. Paul juxtaposes the two concepts in Romans 7:14-20. He decries his tendency toward both types of sin. He does what he doesn’t want to do and knows is wrong—the sin of commission—and he doesn’t do what he knows he should do and really wants to do—the sin of omission. Here is a picture of the new nature in conflict with the flesh in which it dwells.
Evangelism is the proclamation of the good news of knowing Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for those who have encountered Him. Is this a sin of omission? Not doing the work of evangelism might be a sin of omission.
  • As for you, always be steady, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry. (2 Timothy 4:5)
  • And he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:15-18)
When people omit to do what they know is right, this is sin? But for a person who does not know Lord Jesus Christ, not to testify of Him cannot be a sin of omission. However, that person has a greater problem in not knowing Lord Jesus. He or she needs to be saved from sin. For God desires all to be saved and then begin to learn the truth.
  • First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
The sin of commission, by the way, is doing what one knows is wrong to do. For instance, a person knows it is wrong to masturbate (Matthew 5:28), but asserts he cannot help himself because of the sin that is in his members (Romans 7:20-23). Or, if the truth be known, because the person really wants to do that which he believes he ought not be doing, he claims that it is not his fault—the gears got jammed and the sin could not be prevented .

There are many victims, but only those who acknowledge they are responsible for their decisions and begin to seek God while he can be found (Isaiah 55:6-9), have anything to share of worth, having discovered that Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Why would a person believe in aliens, when the person can know the Son of God, who rose from the dead? Of course, the Son of God watches to see who really wants to know Him and who are just playing games.

If we truly want to enter God’s rest and find rest for our souls, then we will do everything we can to find it.
  • Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, that no one fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And before him no creature is hidden, but all are open and laid bare to the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:11-13)
As Lord Jesus Christ states in the book of Revelation.
  • I will strike her children dead. And all the churches shall know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you as your works deserve. (Revelation 2:23)
The real issue for many people, even Calvinists, is they do not know Lord Jesus Christ.
  • You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. (John 5:39-40)
Sharing the good news is natural for those of us who know Lord Jesus Christ and have the assurance of our own salvation, having entered the rest of God and being chosen as acceptable to receive the seal of the Holy Spirit as our guarantee, because we hate evil and desire goodness, truth and justice.
