Many people who become Christians are still trying to find their way into the Kingdom of God. Being a Christian is a claim also made by many people who are not really Christians.
My frame of reference is that those who do not do the will of God are not members of the family of Lord Jesus Christ.
- And looking around on those who sat about him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.” (Mark 3:34-35)
- Not every one who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)
- Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
- Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7)
- For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit; he who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. (Romans 14:17-18)
