RELIABILITY OF BIBLE TRANSLATIONS IS A MAJOR ISSUE AND MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY RELIABLE SOURCE IS THE TEXTUS RECEPTUS (THE RECEIVED TEXT). The Jehovah Witnesses Have A Corrupt Version Of The Bible The New World Translation Of The Holy Scriptures. But why would anybody be concerned about reading the Latin Vulgata and Nova Vulgata Bibles rather than the Textus Receptus, when the real issue is having a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ and knowing the Lord God, Creator of the Universe.

God can speak through any medium and any means. The reality is this: the Old Testament of the Bible bears witness to Lord Jesus Christ. What does not bear witness to Lord Jesus Christ is not of God.

This statement by Jesus says all that one really needs to know:
  • You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. (John 5:39–40)
The Scriptures Jesus was referring to were those known as the Tanakh—the Law and the Prophets—the Old Testament.

Likewise, when the Apostle Paul was writing to Timothy, he wrote of the Old Testament saying:
  • How from childhood you have been acquainted with . All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15–17)
Even reading the Book of Mormon, because it has some Scripture in there that points to Lord Jesus Christ and the need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, God can use this. However, this is not to say that the Book of Mormon is inspired by God. From my reading of it, the Book of Mormon is pseudepigrapha.

The Jehovah Witnesses have a corrupt version of the Bible The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. In the 1984 version, instead of reading the sacred writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus we read
  • That from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through the faith in connection with Christ Jesus.
The words “in connection with” appear to be purposely inserted to dissuade people from seeking Lord Jesus Christ. Even though this is the case, we still find that the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John are very clear in The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures, for except a person come to Lord Jesus Christ, the person cannot possess eternal life.
Regardless of what translation a person is reading, the truth can be found, if anyone is open to the truth.

Unfortunately, many people misread the King James text:
  • Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (John 5:39–40)
Instead of understanding that “search the Scriptures” means “You search the Scripture” because you think that you have life in them, too many people (I have met and communicated with) think that they have to search the Scriptures so that they may have life.

But why would anybody be concerned about reading the Latin Vulgata and Nova Vulgata Bibles rather than the Textus Receptus, when the real issue is having a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ and knowing the Lord God, Creator of the Universe.

People who cannot read Greek or Latin or Aramaic, simply call out to God to show them the truth and, if they are genuine, God sees. Hagar the maid of Sarah, Abraham’s wife found this to be the case.
  • And the angel of the Lord said to her, “Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son; you shall call his name Ishmael; because the Lord has given heed to your affliction. He shall be a wild ass of a man, his hand against every man and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.” So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “Thou art a God of seeing” (Genesis 16:11–13)
Hagar did not have a Bible, yet she was observed by God and heard of Him. But people today worry and argue about things that really do not matter. Jesus called this “straining a gnat to swallow a camel”. Indeed, the foolishness of humans continues unabated. And most think that they are not being influenced by the god of this world as they blindly reject the truth.

What people need to learn is to trust that they have the right to know the living Lord God, Creator of the Universe, before trusting anything that is a work of humans. History tells us that the victors and the ruling elite are the ones who write the narratives that people are told to believe as true. In some respects, the Bible is no different. Once a person knows the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, then He will lead you and guide you into all truth. Only Jesus Christ is recorded in history as having been raised from the dead and gotten the victory over death, a fact attested to by many witnesses at the time.
