MOTIVATIONAL SUCCESS IS THE PREACHER'S DREAM BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT SIN, OR IS THERE? Every Person Has An Inherent Desire For Something Better Than What We Receive As Children. This even applies to those who are born with it all: position, power, prestige, and what the 99% strive to possess that the 1% think is commonplace.

I want to preach a sermon about a person who has been in the same position example (assistant manager) for a long time and what a reason would be that the person have not been elevated in to manager position, or some reasons why a person may not be elevated to the next step in their life

If you want to give talks about motivational success in this world there is a whole genre with numerous examples in the mold of Think And Grow Rich.

Donald Trump attended the church of Norman Vincent Peale, the positive sermon-maker who surprisingly was Presbyterian. But maybe this is not surprising after all, for there was another from the Reformed view of life, pep-talker Robert Schuller. For if you have the view that you were already predestined to be saved before you were born and, regardless of what you do or did, making choices are a non-issue, just striving for success in this world is all that is left, you will be right at home with the Reformed view of life.

Those who consider what Jesus said, when speaking of the man who could be like George Soros or any of his friends, then you might take another tack.
  • And he said to them, “Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man brought forth plentifully; and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ And he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12:15–21)
When it all boils down to what is left of life, unless a person repents from dead works and exercises faith towards God (Hebrews 6:1), everything one does is in vain.

Therefore we find the Scripture in Proverbs that tells us:
  • Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. (Proverbs 16:3)
This way a person is elevated in the Lord.
  • Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you. (James 4:10)
A person can become President of United States and even have a massive following on twitter, but when it comes to eternal life—which begins now, once you have it—only fruit that endures unto eternity is worth seeking.
  • He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. (John 4:36)
The Kingdom of God is not of this world (John 18:36). For that which is of this “world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever” (John 2:17).

Nevertheless, you can have whatever you believe you can achieve, providing you do not doubt. (Matthew 21:21). Doubt is the seed of unbelief. Unbelief is the consequence of sin (Hebrews 3:18–19). Sin is the disobedience of God’s Word. God’s Word is law. Violate it and you will find yourself on the wrong side of eternal life at the judgment—that is, unless you repent from dead works and exercise faith in God.

Those who apply the principles of success will succeed because these principles originate from the Lord God. All one has to do is acknowledge God and believe that what the mind can conceive, you can receive, providing you strive to achieve, what you believe you have conceived. The principles will never let you down.

The reason people are not elevated in God is they do not humble themselves and allow Him to elevate them, so that they can bear fruit for the eternal life. You choose that which you prefer. Life and death is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), therefore, make the right confession and choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).
