The good news (Gospel) is that Jesus rose from the dead and there is a resurrection—the redemption of our bodies to which we can look forward to being included—which is the hope not only for mankind but for all of Creation.
- But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised; if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. (1 Corinthians 15:13–15)
- For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now; and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. (Romans 8:20–25)
Nevertheless, we have the option to receive or reject the hope that is provided to us through the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. Those who receive the assurance of this hope, of which we speak, begin to be raised from their dead works now, as they put their trust in God through faith in Lord Jesus Christ.
The Gospel Is Often Misunderstood Because People Reject The Only Words God Wrote
