I would like to say that flood was an exercise in mythology, but the trouble with that view is NOAH'S ARK has been found 6300 ft above sea level. Besides this, there is too much evidence in the geological record that can only be explained by a worldwide flood.
When speaking with two Buddhists celebrating Chinese New Year, they were telling me how rubbing the Buddha’s tummy brings good luck. One was a Buddhist who had been born in Hong Kong. The other was a Buddhist who had been born in Indonesia. For them Chinese New Year is all about good luck at their favorite casino. Gambling with games of chance is not seen as immoral by governments seeking revenue, whereas some people believe the idea of coming into existence and living by chance is immoral.
There is the myth that man is a chemical and his thoughts will be found when the higgs boson is fully examined. This elusive element apparently permits people to be more creative when it comes to relative morality and situational ethics—something to do with strangelets (maybe?). What are the chances that a particle collider's strangelets will destroy the Earth?
There is the myth aliens exist, especially the one about those who came from the planet Nibiru that is propagated by all those who want to believe Zechariah Sitchin and swallow his mythology about the Anunnaki. Believers in aliens will believe anything, so the morality of these believers is whatever will be, will be, I suppose.
There are many beliefs that are myths and have no archaeological evidence to back them up. But when one genuinely seeks to discredit the historical record in the Bible or claim the Moses is a myth, one will personally visit the sites of Noah’s Ark in Turkey or Mt Jabal al lawz in Saudi Arabia. Otherwise not to do so and speak falsely about their non-existence is an act of immorality—not to mention an act of pure foolishness.
