HAVING THE POWER TO CANONIZE PEOPLE MUST ALSO MEAN THAT THE POPE WOULD BE ABLE TO HEAL PEOPLE AND BE ABLE TO PREDICT THE FUTURE. But The Truth Is The Pope Cannot Heal People And Is Absolutely Clueless When It Comes To Predicting The Future Or Doing Other Miracles. Nevertheless, people believe that if the Pope canonize someone like Mother Teresa, she has been given special powers, so people can pray to her to have their prayers answered.

Why is Mother Teresa canonized?

An obvious reason is that by canonizing popular people this presents excellent public relations for a church that is being hammered for the many homosexuals and pedophiles that are found in its ranks, while preaching against sodomites.

For Mother Teresa to be canonized, some individual has to claim that he or she received a miracle from beseeching her after her death.

Now the Bible expressly speaks out against people who pray to those who have died and also against people who teach that it is possible to contact those who have died.

• And when they say to you, “Consult the mediums and the wizards who chirp and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? (Isaiah 8:19)

No true Christian would even consider praying to anybody who has died. This is not to mention teaching others that it is possible to do so.

Why?

Besides what is written in Isaiah, we find the following words in the New Testament:

• For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)

• You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. (John 15:16)

As to why anybody is canonized and declared capable of answering prayers, I am nonplussed. The Bible prohibits praying to those who have died and declares it to be of the occult.

The exception is Jesus of Nazareth. Being the Son of God He rose from the dead, having paid the price for sin on behalf of every person that has lived, who is alive today, and is yet to be born before His return.

Lord Jesus Christ is the only mediator between man and God. If we address the Father, we are informed that we need to go to Lord Jesus Christ or to call upon His name. We are not told to use the name of Mother Teresa. Either, we adhere to what is written in the Bible or we believe the Babylonians.

The Only Way To Have Our Prayers Answered By The Father Is Through The Son
