THE REVELATION OF THE END OF THE AGE AND THE JUDGMENT OF GOD CLOSING IN. One Thousand Years Of Peace On Earth May Seem Impossible Because People Are Wont To Be Ambitious And Are Prepared To Do Evil Just To Gain The Upper Hand Over Their Peers. What will happen when the Devil is cast out of Heaven and understands that he about to be locked up in chains, as stated in the Bible?

The war that you are referring to presumably is that mentioned in the book of Revelation.
  • And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:7-10)
Speculation regarding the nephilim or rehaim is just that and really need not be entertained, if truth is sought. Likewise, Og and Agag are historical figures that most probably will not be a part of what occurs at the end of the millennium of peace on Earth.
This prophecy from Revelation has to do with the time at the very end of the age, when the judgment of God is about take place. The Earth will have been ruled for one thousand years in righteousness and peace and the Devil will be loosed from where he will have been kept in chains. In all probability, the Devil and his cohorts, who are to be thrown out of Heaven very shortly, will be the ones who stir people to attack Jerusalem, where Lord Jesus Christ will be reigning from at the time.
When the Devil and his angels are thrown out of Heaven, they will first attack the people of God, but to no avail. Then they will wreak havoc on the inhabitants on the Earth. If people think that they have seen horrors and experienced what fear is really like, wait until the day the Devil and his angels are cast down to Earth. All hell is going to break loose. People will be wanting to suicide but will be prevented from doing so. This is going to take place over a period of close to three-and-a-half years.
We are just about to enter the days of Jacob’s Trouble, where Ishmaelites and Edomites will seek to extinguish true Christianity. The signs of the times are flashing like giant billboards.

THE WORLD WOULD BE A DIFFERENT PLACE WITHOUT THE SON OF GOD HAVING COME TO EARTH. Should We Worry About What Could Have Been Had Not Jerusalem, Israel, Not Become The Focus Of The Three Abrahamic Religions, Judaism, Christianity, Islam. The reality is that religion is about humans returning to their roots which is that without being reconciled to our Creator, life on Earth becomes meaningless.

For anybody who actually understands the message of God to humankind, which permeates the pages of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, the question is a non sequitur. There would be no religion if the Son of God had not decided to rescue humankind and demonstrate the righteousness of God to the fallen creation.

Actually, the righteousness of the Omniscient One demanded that the violation of faith that occurred in the Garden of Eden be rectified. This violation was initiated by the covering cherub—as inferred by the Scriptures—who happens to be known as Lucifer (Satan, Devil, Beelzebub—Lord of Flies[1] ).
The Old Testament clearly teaches that God has a Son who carries the same name as Himself. The name of God would be fully revealed upon the revealing of the Son.
  • I will tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my son, today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.” (Psalm 2:7–8)
  • I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One. Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know! (Proverbs 30:3-4)
  • I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and know that no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also. (1 John 2:21-23)
  • No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known. (John 1:18)
  • Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father’s Son, in truth and love. (2 John 1:3)
  • Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1)
  • He who commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)
Had the Lord God decided throw the Devil in prison once he had sinned, and Eve also, before Adam saw her eat of the prohibited fruit, then a new woman could have been created for Adam. But for reasons that we do not know—having been made in the image of God—Eve was permitted to eat of the prohibited fruit in front of Adam, who also decided to violate faith in his Creator’s word to him.
Religion, which comes from religare,[2] means to bind back. True religion is therefore the quest to return to the Creator of the Universe and establish a relationship that is real—not virtual or hypothetical.
Once Adam and Eve had violated their relationship with their Creator, they had effectively cut themselves loose from the unity they possessed. Sin is the same as dissipation. Whereas they would have lived forever, because the constituent elements within their physical bodies would not break down, now the process of dissipation had entered into the cells of their bodies, so death was inevitable. The body breaks down because of sin—separation from God—and physical death is the result.
However, spiritual death is not physical death. And the spiritual realm exists in a dimension that is not seen or felt or tasted with our physical senses. The spiritual realm consists of that which we know exists and refer to as the immaterial, the incorporeal, the intangible elements of existence, which includes such phenomena as love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-restraint, etc, and their correlating negatives. For this reason, Jesus stated:
  • And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)
However, the Bible teaches that we are beings that possess not only a body and a soul, but also a spirit.
  • May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
The spirit component of our being is that which is not destroyed, according to the Bible, when the soul and the body are destroyed in Hell. This spirit is actually that part of us which is of the same substance that enables us to possess faith and be like God. Moses understood this.
For those who meditate—as per Psalm One—the truths of Scripture are revealed and, eventually, the fullness of the deeper understanding of their implications for humankind. For we find in the Torah that God is the God of spirits of flesh and whoever sins against Him—i.e. rejects the truth of life—shall be blotted out of the book of those who are to enjoy eternity. For the Lord will appoint a man to lead the congregation of those who have seen fit to return to Him.
  • And they fell on their faces, and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be angry with all the congregation?” (Numbers 16:22)
  • But the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. (Exodus 32:33)
  • Moses said to the Lord, “Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation, who shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord may not be as sheep which have no shepherd.” (Numbers 27:15-17 )
The apostle Paul when speaking to the Greeks who delighted in discussing their opinions, if not really seeking the truth, clearly stated the purpose of God and why people exist on planet Earth.
So Paul, standing in the middle of the Are-op′agus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, ‘To an unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything. And he made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us, for
‘In him we live and move and have our being’;
as even some of your poets have said,
‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the Deity is like gold, or silver, or stone, a representation by the art and imagination of man. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all men everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising him from the dead.” (Acts 17:22–31)
There is only one religion that is the true religion. For only one religion brings man back to God. Reconciliation is not found through any other person other than Lord Jesus Christ. All other religions have been the creations of men. Unfortunately, people confuse Roman Catholicism with being a Christian, along with Calvinism (which adherents claim is the gospel) and (Russian, Greek, Eastern, etc) Orthodox confederations which have the many images and false practices that are clearly spoken against within the Scriptures. Besides these, there are also numerous splinter groups that emphasize their own version of beliefs that are not in accord with the plan and purpose of the God in Lord Jesus Christ.
Fortunately, ignorance is overlooked. But for those who knowingly practice and approve of that which is a violation of what God expects within our relationships with each other, as a race of beings created in His image (Genesis 1:26-27), and Himself, then we are giving our Creator the middle finger and are choosing a fate worse than physical death—eternal punishment. Not that the threat of eternal punishment is meant to make people come to their senses, but rather the kindness of God (Romans 2:4;Romans 11:22) is what we need to recognize, so that we might respond to our Heavenly Father with a right attitude.
If Jesus (meaning Savior), the only Son of God, were not to come to Earth, so that the righteousness of God could be ratified through His death and an inheritance bequeathed for all to accept, then there would be no other religion, because humans would not exist on planet Earth as we know it.

PEOPLE CLAIM THE EXISTENCE OF GOD IS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE THEY CANNOT CONCEIVE OF A CREATOR. Claiming To Be Intelligent And Not Fools They Can Believe That Everything Exists By Chance, Which According To Them Is Obvious If You Believe In The Man-Made Theory Of Evolution. The mere fact that they have a theory to believe in, these (is it unfair to call them) cretins scoff at those who accept the evidence of design as being abundantly demonstrated in everything from DNA to the seasons that historically have existed for centuries.

I looked around at the environment and wondered who created life. I was told that it just came about by chance.
Nobody really believes that organized systems come about by chance unless they playing the fool—correct? Or they have another agenda, that they really do not want to tell you—isn’t this right?
Chance is what happens when we throw the dice when playing Monopoly. Sometimes a double six will be thrown. Sometimes even three in a row is possible. Mostly the dice will come up with a total of six, seven, or eight.
When it comes to 6-Sided Dice: The Most Common Rolls are totals of
The chance of rolling a total of 6 is 13.89 percent
The chance of rolling a total of 7 is 16.67 percent
The chance of rolling a total of 8 is 13.89 percent
Nothing I have evidenced to date has proven that there is no Creator God.
The example of the dice shows that even chance is an intelligent construct. The dice have a limited number of options, but they can be used to create chance events. The same occurs with roulette, which has a greater number of options compared to two dice.
Accepting that God exists and accepting the beliefs of humans is another matter. From what I have seen of humans, once I have gotten to know them. everyone I have met has been guilty of telling a lie, Actually, many humans I have met were telling me a lie within minutes of saying “Hello!”.
Expressing falsehood seems to be natural phenomena for human beings. Self-interest seems to demand that instead of the truth what is untrue (false, fake and phony) be told from time to time, if not more often than not.
If humans tell lies, why should I believe another person, or the beliefs that they claim are true— especially when they cannot provide a legitimate demonstration of evidence for such claims. For instance, I have been told that praying before statutes would get prayers answered. I have been told also that lighting candles helps even more to get prayers answered. In fact, I have even heard money really works wonders when it comes to the supernatural—the greater the gift the better (the wizard?).
When someone can demonstrate a cat turning into a dog through natural selection or two persons prove to me that they were there to witness the chance creation of the Universe, I will believe them. Until such time, I will accept that they are just dupes spouting nonsense that they cannot prove but are silly enough to believe, because the theory of evolution is really unnecessary to make observations of the environment or to recreate any experiments for scientific advancement.
When people tell me they accept facts only but do not believe anything, I hope they are pretending to be clowns and are just trying to make me laugh. For unless they believe the misinformation that they claim they accept as true, then they will reject the errors for what they are: misconceptions and not facts.
Noah’s Ark has been found and documented, yet people reject this because they do not want to believe or accept this as a fact. The Exodus route of the Hebrews from Egypt to Mount Sinai has been found and documented, yet people reject this, because they refuse to accept the facts. These facts are rejected because they contradict and demonstrate the futility of their beliefs. History is replete with billions of people who refused to stand up an be counted preferring cowardice and slavery to the system. It is happening today.
The only reality that I have been able to know in my life has been subjective, and this has involved relationships with other human beings. As it happens, the Ten Commandments that were given by God Himself on Mount Sinai deal specifically with relationships. These relationships are to do with humans relating to other humans, and uniquely with humans dealing with God Himself.
Since human beings are more inclined to bear false witness or tell lies than the truth, I would be more inclined to believe that God exists. The Ten Commandments point to the inability of humans to live in peace. They also point to the only hope humans have in life.
The Creator God cares for His Creation and has provided the only hope humans have, which is to be delivered from the futility of being born only to die. No human has demonstrated the ability to overcome death yet by rising from the dead throughout history, except Jesus of Nazareth—who is more than human in that He is the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ.
People who claim that there is meaning in being born, having to suffer, and then having to die (a reality common to us all) are bearing false witness against themselves and the truth of reality, even life itself.
The most common question I have encountered that is given by people for not believing in God is “Who created God?” Yet many of these people will accept the theories of men, created from their imagination and taught as fact. without asking to be shown absolute evidence reproduced under laboratory conditions or with criteria that enable a hypothesis to be reduplicated in real time and proven to be no longer a mere possibility, but really the truth.
The Infinite Creator created finite humans, yet the ignorant finite mind of mortal man wants to know who created infinity, rather than seeking to have a relationship with the Creator of Life. We are all trapped by death, our only hope is God has a reason for our existence.

MYSTERY OF DEEPEST SAYING “DEEP CALLS UNTO DEEP” AND WHAT IT COULD REALLY MEAN, EXPOSED. No Body Has Seen God According To The New Testament Yet Job, Moses, Jacob Are Believed To Have Seen The Face Of God. The mysteries of this life extend beyond how a virus is able to pass undetected from one person to another through breathing, for we are talking about the mystery of the fourth dimension and a multidimensional universe.

Assuming that you are referencing Psalm 42:7, the context is a reference to the prayer of the Psalmist expressing his heart’s desire to rest within the depths of God; that is, God’s bosom.
1 As a hart longs for flowing streams,so longs my soul for thee, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living GodWhen shall I come and behold the face of God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me continually, “Where is your God?”
4 These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I went with the throng, and led them in procession to the house of God, with glad shouts and songs of thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival. 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help 6 and my God. My soul is cast down within me, therefore I remember thee from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.
Deep calls to deep at the thunder of thy cataracts; all thy waves and thy billows have gone over me. 8 By day the Lord commands his steadfast love;
and at night his song is with me
, a prayer to the God of my life. 9 I say to God, my rock: “Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning

because of the oppression of the enemy?”
10 As with a deadly wound in my body, my adversaries taunt me,
while they say to me continually, “Where is your God?”
11 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help and my God.
The Psalmist desires to know when he can behold the face of God. Jesus said that only the pure in heart can see God (Matthew 5:8). Job said that he saw God (Job 42:5). Presumably, Job saw the face of God, which cannot be denied as a possibility. Moses spoke to God face to face (Exodus 33:11). Jacob said that seeing Esau was like seeing the face of God (Genesis 33:10). Whereas Gideon was overwhelmed when he saw the face of angel that was from God’s presence (Judges 6:22).
However, the idea of seeing the face of God appears to have something with the experiencing the depths of His presence. In the second verse of Genesis, we learn of the connection between the face of deep and the Spirit of God.
  • The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2)
When speaking of the depths of God, this is also known the bosom of God. The Gospel of John speaks of the Jesus revealing what was in the bosom of God.
  • No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.(John 1:18)
Paul, the Apostle, had a face to face encounter with Lord Jesus Christ and was left blinded by the occasion (Acts 9:3-9). After having become more deeply acquainted with Lord Jesus Christ, and having been baptized in the Holy Spirit, Paul began to learn of wonderful things.
  • But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,” God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For what person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 2:9-11)
From what we can find in the Bible, deep calling unto deep, could very well mean, the heart of man calling out to the heart of God, or even the fact that the heart of God calls out to the hearts of humans in the hope that they might seek Him out, feel after Him and find Him.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DO NOT HAVE A PROHIBITION STATING, “YOU SHALL NOT HATE YOUR NEIGHBOR.” When Speaking About The Ten Commandments, There Are Many Who Like To Keep Them Short, Even Overlook Them, Or Merge The First With The Second And Then Split The Last One To Form Two, Just In Case What Is Obvious For The Discerning Seeker Of Truth, Concerning The Second Commandment, Became Too Conspicuous. Unless you were in Egypt, technically, these commandments do not apply to you but can you in all good conscience lie, murder, steal, and do whatever you like to whomever you like, whenever you like and wherever you like.

The Ten Commandments do not have a prohibition stating “You shall not hate your neighbor.”. Those who like to pride themselves as adherents of the Ten Commandments delight in this, because this means that when they feel inclined to hate their neighbors, this is okay.

Bearing false witness is not the same as lying. Lying down is definitely not a matter of bearing false witness. But then some people cannot lie straight in bed either, although they truly lie throughout the day.
Rather interestingly, in the Bible we learn that a Rabbi comes along, who, one night, is approached by Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:1-3 )
Nicodemus said to him, “How can this be?”
Jesus answered him, “Are you a teacher of Israel, and yet you do not understand this? Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen; but you do not receive our testimony. (John 3:9-11)
The Psalms are considered Holy Writ. In this collection of Holy Writings we find that while there is a limit to perfection, one thing is broad indeed.
  • I have seen a limit to all perfection, but thy commandment is exceedingly broad. (Psalm 119:96)
Not everybody recognizes existing unwritten protocols unless they are enforced so those who do not subscribe to them are compelled to comply with them.
  • Any one who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 John 3:15)
  • You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)
  • Behold, the wicked man conceives evil, and is pregnant with mischief, and brings forth lies. (Psalm 7:14)
  • O men, how long shall my honor suffer shame? How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies? (Psalm 4:2)
  • Thou destroyest those who speak lies; the Lord abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful men. (Psalm 5:6)
The commandment about false witness does not specifically say anything about telling lies. Only evil people would tell lies. Those who bear false witness are evil people. Much depends on the protocols, I suppose.
  • A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies. (Proverbs 14:5)
  • A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who utters lies will not escape. (Proverbs 19:5)
  • A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who utters lies will perish. (Proverbs 19:9)
When speaking about the Ten Commandments, there are many who like to keep them short, even overlook them, or merge the first with the second and then split the last one to form two, just in case what is obvious for the discerning seeker of truth, concerning the second commandment, became too conspicuous.
  • You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:4-6)
Literalists always point to the fact that “you shall not murder “does not say “you shall not hate”. Likewise, neither does “you shall not bear false witness” say that “you shall not lie”. But they overlook that the first commandment addresses only those who were in the land of Egypt.
  • And God spoke all these words, saying,“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:1-3 )
Unless you were in Egypt, technically, these commandments do not apply to you. In which case you can lie, murder, steal, and do whatever to whomever, whenever and wherever you like. The problem is you will not like anybody doing this to you. Depending upon the protocols to which you subscribe and adhere, even if you were not in Egypt, the Ten Commandments will be recognized as binding upon you.
The Psalmist says that the commandments are very broad, suggesting that they are inclusive of more than the literally obvious.
The Rabbi whom Nicodemus recognized as being honored of God, upbraided him. The Rabbi, who was honored of God, said to Nicodemus that he was basically a clueless cretin, because he did not understand that unless he was born from above, he could not begin to see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus was supposed to understand the Old Testament and yet he did not understand the basic truth for the need to be born from above. Rather amazing really!
I suppose only those who are genuine of heart would take Psalm One seriously. Likewise, only those who really desire to know the truth about the Tanakh would take what the Psalmist says about the commandment seriously. For as there is no commandment against hating one’s neighbor within the Decalogue, there is also no commandment against telling lies. But this changes when one meditates the commandment for murder, or the commandment for bearing false witness, or even the commandment for covetousness.

EVIDENCE OF NOAH, SHEM AND ABRAHAM LIVING AT THE SAME TIME EXISTS BUT WHAT MANY PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE IS THAT SHEM OUTLIVED ABRAHAM. Moreover Some Historians Have Documented Shem Was The Famed Melchezidek Who Blessed Abraham And Share The Lord’s Supper Of The Bread And The Wine With Him. Not only did Melchezidek teach Abraham about the Son of God and explain to him the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ, but also taught the value of tithing, which many people object to, being stingy of heart.

Melchizedek presents as an enigma. He appears in the book of Genesis, which is full of genealogy, without any ancestors or descendants.

The book of Hebrews says that Melchizedek “is without father or mother or genealogy, and has neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest for ever” (Hebrews 7:3).
As for Jesus of Nazareth, we learn that His genealogy is from the tribe of Judah.
  • Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures, the gospel concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 1:1-4)
The Bible teaches that all humans come from one man.
  • The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything. And he made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation. (Acts 17:24-26)
All human beings are the progeny of Adam through their parents’ ancestry. The seed of humans comes from Adam. Women are not able to give birth to children unless the eggs they carry within their ovaries are inseminated by the seed of men. Therefore, every human being has originated, in the flesh, from Adam. The seed of every human being is in the father. However, every human being comes from Adam through the mother. The egg of the mother and the seed of the father come together to form one entity: a fertilized egg that has the potential to develop into a human being.
Most people think that this is also the case of the child to which Mary gave birth that broke the hymen of her vagina. Every other child comes into this world via water, but the Son of God’s body, came into this world with water and blood. The distinction between a child being born of water and a child being born of water and the blood is that of being fathered by a human being naturally or by another means. In the case of the baby to which Mary gave birth, no human seed fertilized her egg. The Holy Spirit initiated the fertilization, which is why the baby was born of blood as well as water. Nevertheless, once the body of the baby had been given birth, the Word of God entered the child.
  • Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings thou hast not desired, but a body hast thou prepared for me.” (Hebrews 10:5)
  • This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with the water only but with the water and the blood. (1 John 5:7)
  • And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. (John 1:14)
  • No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known. (John 1:18)
  • Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:5-8)
From what the above Scripture informs us, the Son of God did not become flesh until taking on human form as the child Jesus. The mother of the human child was Mary, the husband of Joseph, who also gave birth to Jesus’ brother, James (Galatians 1:19), as well as her other children.
  • Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. (Mark 6:3)
Jesus had no human father, but since he entered the body of child given birth by Mary, He had other siblings. Melchizedek has no record of other siblings. In fact, Melchizedek is not mentioned as associated with anyone. He simply appears in chapter fourteen of Genesis and is not heard of again. In the book of Psalms there is mention of an order of Melchizedek, but not of the person by that name.
  • The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” Psalm 110:4
This Melchizedek order has to have been a priesthood that had more than one priest, but we only have the one appearance of a priest in the book of Genesis. Melchizedek does not seem to have been the name of the individual but the name pertaining to the order of the priesthood. Although, there are two verses in the book of Hebrews that give the impression that Melchizedek is the actual name of the person whom Abraham tithed, rather than being a priest of the Melchizedek order. A third verse indicates that this might be the case.
  • For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him; (Hebrews 7:1)
  • For he was still in the loins of his ancestor when Melchiz′edek met him.(Hebrews 7:10)
  • This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 7:15)
Other mention of Melchizedek in the book of Hebrews clearly states that this is a priesthood and not just one person.
  • as he says also in another place, “Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 5:6)
  • being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 5:10)
  • where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:20)
The evidence is that there is an order known as Melchizedek, of which Lord Jesus Christ has been designated the High Priest. Therefore, when Abraham met up with Melchizedek King of Salem, rather than this being the name of the king, this was his title: ”The Righteous King Of Peace”. It appears there is every possibility Shem, the son of Noah, assumed this title, or may have been designated a priest of this order by God. For the evidence is Shem lived 35 years after Abraham died[1]
  • And Melchiz′edek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was priest of God Most High (Genesis 14:18)
Abraham gave a tithe of his substance to Melchizedek. We learn that Abraham lived with Issac and Jacob. We also learn that Jacob tithed. Since Levi was yet to be born, Jacob could not have tithed to the Levite priesthood, therefore we have to conclude he tithed to the priesthood that Abraham tithed.
  • By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. (Hebrews 11:9)
  • Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear, so that I come again to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God, and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God’s house; and of all that thou givest me I will give the tenth to thee.” (Genesis 28:20-22)
Since, God has no need of anything from man to survive, but human members of His priesthood do (Malachi 3:10), Jacob tithing to the Melchizedek priesthood at Salem makes complete sense. This being the case, Shem has a high probability of being the man with whom Abraham broke bread and shared wine. Alexander Hislop’s work The Two Babylons[2] gives a historical account of why Shem stands out as the candidate exalted to the order of Melchizedek.
