The Bible says that marrying other religions is idolatry. That is assuming you mean becoming married to another religion.
This is what the Bible says about faithlessness, when it comes to commitments made to the Lord God Creator of the Universe.
- “For I hate divorce, says the Lord the God of Israel, and covering one’s garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. So take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless.” (Malachi 2:16)
God hates divorce; that is, cutting off relationships that go rotten. But when people are willfully giving Him the middle finger, like a boat at a mooring when a tempest is about to rage, the rotten are cut off and set free to spend their days as they desire, without the security of salvation and the presence of the Father.
The people of Israel were faithless, idolatrous, prostitutes, who had no integrity and no morality; for they were nothing but fruit gone rotten. Consequently, not the individuals, but the nation itself is spoken of the faithless one, and severed from its secure mooring, under the protection provided by the Lord God Almighty, to groan in abandonment.
- She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce; yet her false sister Judah did not fear, but she too went and played the harlot. (Jeremiah 3:8)
When it comes to seeking the truth, which is true religion, forsaking this quest is tantamount to being a faithless person who disregards one’s birthright; only to be a whore for the mother of whores, mystery Babylon, with all her ritualism, statues and false teachings. Hence, even today, people are forsaken—cut off, set free to abandonment—to go and prostitute themselves with the little boys at the altar of maleficence, where the hypocrites claim that they are being beneficent, as they corrupt the innocent.
True religion is to seek the Lord while he may be found.
- Thus says the Lord: ‘The dead bodies of men shall fall like dung upon the open field, like sheaves after the reaper, and none shall gather them.’” Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practice steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 9:22-24)
If you want to think of yourself as safe, following the evils of the world, the lusts of the flesh and the carnal-minded, who have no hope, that is your prerogative. Freewill is given to all for the purpose of giving every individual the joy of learning to hate evil and desiring the truth. This being the case, why would anyone want to seek another religion other than the way that leads to the truth and eternal life.
