Hurricane Irma may irk some atheists because they have to admit that this has caused some of their fellow believers in nothing to rethink their vulnerability and futility—what to do now they have just soiled more than their knees.

Such abandonment of faith in nothing is not unknown, for soldiers, having survived the trenches of battle in war zones, often report that atheists change more than their color (i.e. turn ghostly white) when bullets and shrapnel start flying, as grenades and shells fall nearby. Evidently, the mind that waivers is lost, the mind that is resolute understands what is required.

People who have not got the conviction to stand up for the truth (before a dose of diarrhea flies everywhere), often find it is too late once death closes the door.

As for myself, I was not around 200 years ago, let alone 5000 years ago. To be honest, I do not know what people were doing 200 years ago, only what certain individuals have written. As a qualified guess, I would say people were procreating, eating, sleeping, growing older, dying, stealing, lying, and doing pretty much what people do today. Some would have been devoted to applying themselves to various tasks with what are now considered antiquated and obsolete technology in many parts of the world, if not all of the world today. Many of the comforts experienced by a significant number of the world’s population today, would have been unknown 200 years ago—even 100 years ago.

However, even though we may think of people some 5000 years having had antiquated technology, from evidence on the ground, people actually appeared to have had some very powerful technology, as well, that enabled them to cut massive stone with laser precision and transport it for miles to elevated sites—even up steep gradients. Whether these people were prepared to acknowledge God, according to the Bible, in the main, this was not the case (Genesis 6:5-8).

In fact, the evidence on the ground points to a worldwide flood, where animals were drowned in graveyards as they scampered to higher ground, or whales were instantly petrified by volcanic eruptions, when swimming well above sea level. In fact, the whales were found with their baleen intact, which totally disintegrates within three days under normal conditions. What this means is a major catastrophe occurredthat raised the sea level higher than can be expected by a tsunami.

The topography of the Earth was changed at the time and instead of one land mass, it was separated into many islands and four massive land masses (Antarctica, Australia, Americas, Africa-Eurasia) or five if you want to include Greenland—which, apparently, was given its name for the abundance of green flora that grew there before the Earth began cooling again.

I learned about the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ through my grandparents. Then I encountered Him myself in person. After that I learned more about our Creator from reading the Bible, noting that the joy of salvation that I received is promised within its pages to all who are genuinely saved, and that we are implored to seek the Lord God until we receive such. Consequently, because of my personal experiences and what is written in the Bible that attests to them, I have come to realize that it is a reliable document.

Moreover, the more I have looked into matters historical, the more I have learned that what is written in the Bible concerning historical events is true. Whereas those who scoff at what is written in its pages, from my observation, speak from ignorance, and tend to have darkened hearts accompanied by wicked ways and wanton desires. In the main, these scoffers, who have a darkened, ignorant, wanton, wicked disposition, predominately ruling their futile lives (of which they are unaware), froth and spew their vitriol at those who do not agree with them. Why would any sane person agree that there is magnificent meaning in being born only to die at a moments notice; or, that we are ruled by chance; or, we are governed by biological predetermination.

The Bible states that this Earth is ruled by the power of the prince of the air and he has the ability to influence people who are prepared to do his will. This is not overtly stated, but it is clear, that those who have been set free from this influence are well aware of it (Ephesians 2:1-4; 2 Timothy 2:26)

Commonsense actually tells us that a Creator exists. (Don’t tell anyone, lest you are ridiculed for not believing in their fairies.) Just that some people through personal confirmation bias, encouraged by the affirmation of those who are believers in nothing, do not want to appear foolish in front of those who are like them. The adulation of being a believer in nothing is too much to lose.

One woman, I knew, claimed that Moses was a myth and wrote a book about it. She wrote to me stating that she was fluent in Hebrew and Aramaic from a child. She even claimed that she was once a Christian , but realized her beliefs were false and denounced Lord Jesus Christ.

Her beliefs were false, indeed. For, as I explained to her, she was never a Christian—a billion or so say they are Christians, but are not. And as for Moses’ existence and what happened after he appeared to Pharaoh, when I pointed her to undeniable archaeological evidence that the Exodus route existed exactly as recorded in the Bible, she rejected it. Instead she scoffed and, ironically, died the following year on the 25th of December, full of blasphemy and defiance.

We all have to reason out whether we are born to be fools, who believe in fairies, or whether we are born to be wise, and recognize that the days and months and seasons do not repeat, year in, year out, by chance.

If a person can reason today that we do not exist by chance by observing the days, the months, the seasons, the years—without needing the lesson of the roulette table—I am sure that people could have made the same conclusion 5000 years ago. In fact, some did (1 Peter 3:20).

The Creator exists, but whether we personally encounter Him, then this is a different matter. As for myself, fortunately and thankfully, I have.

Since we can prove that half Earth has light shining on it for 12 hours, while the corresponding half is in darkness, the Sun moving at a rate of approximately 1000 mph to give the requisite time zones which are found in Siberia and Australia to be exactly the same. Unless the Earth is a ball, the Sun cannot return and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) [- https://greenwichmeantime.com -]  time would not be accurate.

Two very important facts not being taken into account by Flat Earthers. 

1. If the Earth's atmosphere is contained within a space, then everything within that space would be like being in a moving object such as a aircraft cabin or train passenger carriage. 
2. If the Earth is not moving, this does not mean it is flat and not a globe, the evidence for those who have traveled around the globe is that you can start at one point and travel across the oceans and return to the original destination having set off to the East and returned from the West.

Another fact is that you will always see a circle no matter how high you go. But your natural vision is limited and the distance you can see is affected. On a ball or a globe, depending how high you go, at the widest portion of a very large ball you are prevented from seeing the curve inwards beyond that point. A extremely large ball, say four miles radius would look flat to you if you were standing on the top, but the surrounds would look like the sky does as it dives below the Earth, when view the circular horizons from a tall building or mountain peak.

Evidently, yes. But those few hours on the cross are only part of the story. You have also overlooked living a life without violating the Ten Commandments, before taking upon the sin of the world.

The issue has to do with what Adam lost; not with what people have done. Unfortunately, too many people see things from their own limited experience and do not realize that a snake cut off at the head, like a chicken having been beheaded, still has some life in it. When speaking about a much larger snake than you or I could imagine, what life the snake possesses might be sufficient for it to continue over a span of two millennia. By rule of thumb, we are looking at, say, AD 31 to AD 2031.

The Ancient Serpent, metaphorically, had its head cut off at the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. Somehow, the Serpent still has power to remain in Heaven accusing the saints and wreaking havoc on Earth. But, when his head got the chop, this meant that the legal claim the Ancient Serpent obtained from Adam through subterfuge was no longer his.

Jesus of Nazareth, the only man who has never sinned, obtained the right to reign on Earth when becoming the ransom price for Adam and his progeny—of which you are one, as am I.

The crucifixion was about exchanging Adam for Jesus of Nazareth, not so much about making amends for every individual crime committed—although these are also covered.

The offering of the body of the sinless man Jesus on the Cross of Calvary was a bundled package. Only those who recognize that when Jesus died, that this included their sins as well, who are willing to repent and exercise faith in God, will be saved. Of course, the difference between being willing and doing is like the difference between dreaming about what one would like to do and actually doing it.

The others who committed those crimes you speak off, may have to give an account of themselves if they have not taken up the reprieve that is currently on offer. Once a person dies, it is too late. For after death, we go to our eternal abode. Only those who are part of the first resurrection do not have to face judgement. Those who are not part of the first resurrection, have to pay the price for their own sin— unfortunately, an eternal payment is required.

In all of this, the righteousness of God has been demonstrated. Even though the unenlightened are unable to see past their navel, what God has done is an eternal matter. But if anybody wants to still accuse God for having created people, only to suffer and die, rather than take up the offer of eternal life, then they are rejecting what otherwise sounds like the deal of a lifetime. Or to put what is said here, in the words of the man who is said to have given the greatest sermon ever:

• And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man brought forth plentifully; and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ And he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you; and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’…. (Luke 12:16-21)

When you actually think about it, there has to be more to life than just fabricating reasons why one would put off jumping into the great deep and learning how to swim, while one still has the ability. Apparently, when one falls into deep water and the tide is going out, not having learned to swim beforehand is fatal.

The rapture of the saints who are alive is an expectation that is fostered by what is written in the book of First Thessalonians.

The word “rapture” comes to us through “rapt” from the Latin raptus meaning “carried away”.[1]

Ideas of ecstasy and being emotionally moved beyond having commonsense are associated with the idea of rapture, but the term used to express what happens when people are caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, has the Latin meaning of being carried away.

The expectation of being caught up into the clouds at the second coming has been the providence of the Christian Church since the days of Pentecost. Uninformed individuals have deceived many into believing that this was not the case. The aforementioned Scripture puts paid to any arguments that the rapture is not going to happen according to Scripture. This is because it is going to happen.

From God’s perspective, what is to happen soon has probably already happened. From our perspective, what is to happen soon takes on an immediacy that varies from person to person. Some people see something happening soon within the framework of a couple of decades, other people think in terms of minutes. When thinking in terms of centuries, a couple of decades is soon. When thinking in terms of quenching one’s thirst, soon can literally mean within a couple of seconds.

Many people think that the return of the Lord is going to happen this year. Many more think it could happen anytime today. Whereas, those who wait upon the Lord, and delight in His presence, think it has already happened—well, at least until they have to encounter the hostile world, again.

When Lord Jesus returns, He is going to reign on Earth. There is going to be quite some excitement and much carnage before He does though. There have even been weird rumblings in certain places that President Trump is the last trump. But he does have sons, so this could not be the case.

• In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:52)

One thing is for sure, if President Trump were the last trump, he hasn’t been blown yet. Unless, this is a reference to the uproar that is being made by those malcontents who hate the fact he now resides in the oval office. Then maybe not.

One thing has to happen before there will be any return of Lord Jesus Christ, somebody has to declare himself to be God and everybody has to receive the mark of the Beast—with the exponential AI advancements, and the likes of Google, Zuckerberg, et al., the Day of the Lord is not far away.

Implicit in the idea "to understand something" means that we have to stand under whatever it is we are seeking to understand, so that we can see what’s up.

A car mechanic is able to get a better understanding of a vehicle by hoisting it up so that he can stand under it to see what to do. Woe for the mechanic if the hoist comes down unexpectedly, and he has his head near the gear box.

How do we understand anything? Those with no experience cannot truly understand what it means to copulate with another member of the other sex. Prepubescent children are bereft of any understanding of what happens during consensual adult copulation, no matter how detailed the explanation or graphic the pictures. The prepubescent cannot see any significance or grasp the idea of what it means to copulate. Likewise, people who do not know Lord Jesus Christ have no idea of what it means to be saved from sin and death—they speak like foolish children boasting about things of which they have no understanding—in which case, not having the experience of being cleansed from sin is a curse after all.

How can we understand God? Without any definition there is nothing for which to hope. But when it comes to understanding infinity, we are like an elephant that wishes it could fly like a humming bird. Our only hope is that we can understand some attributes of the Infinite One so that we can relate to Him.

The Bible states that we exist within God. The whole Universe exists within God. Everything that has been created exists within God.

Moreover, the Bible informs readers that God understands humans and desires to have a relationship with them. The problem is there is a disconnect. This disconnect has to be addressed, if we are to relate to the Omniscient Creator.

• And [God] made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us, for “In him we live and move and have our being”. (Acts 17:26-28)
• [God] desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)
• He who does not love does not know God; for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins. (1 John 4:8-11)

When we understand that God is love, and understand what love entails, then we might be able to understand our Heavenly Father. Unfortunately, too many people look at the evil in the world, excuse their own evil actions, and then point their finger at God, not realizing that there is a god of this world who actually influences them to reject the love the Heavenly Father extends to us all.

Freewill means that people have choices and the capacity to validate those choices. Our Heavenly Father gave us our ability to exercise our volition to reason right from wrong, good from evil and discern the truth from falsehood. Failure to assume our God-given responsibilities also means that we will be held accountable for doing so. The best way to understand someone is to seek the person out and enter into a relationship with that person.

How can we get to understand God? By entering into a relationship with Him.

Defined Relationships Make It Easier To Appreciate Each Other

GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE BUT HE WROTE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. The Significance Of God Writing The Ten Commandments Cannot Be Overlooked, Yet These Commandments Are Discarded By Most People, Who Seem To Think That They Can Do Without Them. The tragic outcome will be realized on the day that each one for not having fulfilled them in their lives.

Why did God make the physical Ten Commandments and not a physical Bible?

The Bible does not inform us what stone was used by God to engrave the Ten Commandments. Stone can refer to diamond or quartz or granite. The breastplate for the high priest has twelve stones:

• And you shall set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle shall be the first row; and the second row an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond; and the third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; and the fourth row a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper; they shall be set in gold filigree. (Exodus 28:17-20)

The exact identification and the order of these stones, as well as the tribe represented by each, are matters of speculation—BREASTPLATE OF THE HIGH PRIEST

When it comes to the exact identification of the stone used by God to write the Ten Commandments, likewise, we are entering the realm of speculation.

• The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tables of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.” (Exodus 24:12)

The Ten Commandments could have been written on diamond plates for all we know. Nevertheless, since the Ten Commandments outline sin, it is interestingly to learn that diamond was used to engrave the tablet of the heart in respect to the sin of Judah.

• The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with a point of diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars. (Jeremiah 17:1)

The Bible does not tell us what the reason was for God creating the Ten Commandments on plates of stone (maybe, diamond?), just that this is what happened.

• Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not in a written code but in the Spirit; for the written code kills, but the Spirit gives life. (2 Corinthians 3:4-6)
• Since we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we too believe, and so we speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.

What we know is that men of faith spoke and recorded what they said under the inspiration of the Spirit of God. What God wrote was for judgment and also for our encouragement.

When Jesus said that He came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets, He also made the point of referencing that the Law itself would not pass away before Heaven or Earth.

• Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. (Matthew 5:17-18)

From what Jesus stated, we can conclude that the Law of God written by His Own Finger is eternal, whereas that to which the prophets have attested, has been fulfilled in the Son of God. This suggests that the reason God wrote the Ten Commandments Himself is that these are forever abiding, whereas that of which the prophets spoke, were promises that required fulfillment, while the scribes recorded history and other matters which were of no eternal worth.

Either a person can determine that there has to be a Creator by the evidence that exists—which is all around us—or on the basis that the concept of chance informs us that it is impossible for seasons to repeat.

Yet we are told that the Earth spins with a tilt on an invisible axis at 1040 mph, has a Moon flying around it every month travelling at 2088 mph, while together these two objects circuit the Sun at speeds approaching 70,000 mph. According to the ignorati, they have determined that this has being happening for billions of years—all by chance—and they expect you to believe them!

On the basis of knowledge and the fact that chance does not repeat itself day in, day out, I have determined that there has to be a Creator. Moreover, I have determined that the Creator is worthy of my absolute attention and devotion.

When you speak of god, I am assuming that you mean the god of this world, who is referred to in the masculine gender. The Evil One apparently is given this designation by the writers of the Bible. Now whether they cannot conceive of a woman being a witch or a bitch or an evil person is not stated. Nevertheless, there is a woman in the Bible who probably would be called a bitch today—Jezebel. That was some evil woman, from what is stated in the Scriptures. Even Lord Jesus had some serious issues with her.

• But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and beguiling my servants to practice immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. (Revelation 2:20)

However, you just might be meaning that you would like to know why the Creator God—who has everybody’s number—is referred to in the masculine rather than the feminine gender.

God is referred to as Father, because He is the source of all life. In the natural, we understand that women have not the ability to bring forth children on their own, they need a man, which means every child needs a father, if the child is to exist.

When God created the first human, the Bible tells us that this was a He, a man, a progenitor of life. We know that this is true because only men produce the goodies to impregnate women so they can bring forth life, otherwise their eggs are dead.—Just like humans are spiritually dead, unless impregnated with the Word of Life.

However, since the first human created was a man, the masculine designation has always referred to the human species, and this has been understood as being both men and women, because the first woman was created from the man—not sure what evolutionists believe, but whatever they come up with is definitely the result of fantasy.

Now you ask how is it that the Bible manages to refer to gods in the masculine. The writers of the Bible have not referred to all gods in the masculine, the queen of heaven/virgin cult—which is an abomination to the Lord God—focuses on a feminine divinity that is adored by her devotees.

• Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out libations to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows! (Jeremiah 44:25)

God Himself created man in his own image, male and female, He created them. The man is representative of the Lord God, from whom the woman was taken but not cloned, because, instead of male genitals, she was given what we refer to as female genitals. This dichotomy that we know as gender was actually intended when the Lord God created man, for the man was created both male and female. The woman, Eve, was not intended to be a clone, but a giver of life, the mother of all living, once she had been inseminated by the man, Adam, and had given birth to her children.

Contrary to what many people want to believe, the Bible teaches that there is an order to Creation, which was created in an orderly way. This order needs to be upheld and maintained for the common good. This applies especially to relationships that exist between men and women, Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father.

• But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. (1 Corinthians 11:3)

Words have definitions so that people can understand each other, because if there are no definitions that are understood, them people may as well use any symbol (e.g. #*%&@$#@&) for what they say is meaningless.

Since there is a need for order and meaning so that people can have a level of significance in the relationships they possess with one another, when it comes to the purpose of God, our Heavenly Father is the head of Lord Jesus Christ; who is the head of each man; who (if he has one) is the head of his wife; who is the head of her children. This order is known as patriarchal because it refers back to the headship of the Heavenly Father, whom every human father represents as a type.

When we recognize that to make reference to the Creator God, who is our Heavenly Father, in the masculine form— “He Is” = “I Am”—we are becoming authentic human beings. This is because to pay Almighty God the homage that is rightfully His, we are beginning to see the Light of Life, and capable of seeing much more clearly the facts of life, now that they are defined.

Those who decide to usurp the order that enables the Universe to function and the purpose of God to be established, seek chaos and its consequences, not life.
