HISTORICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE BAPTISM AND CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS OF NAZARETH IS LACKING ACCORDING TO THE SCHOLARS WHO DO NOT ACCEPT THE BIBLE AS A HISTORICAL DOCUMENT. Those Scholars That Accept The Bible As A Historical Document Find That There Is Support For Many Of The Claims In the Bible From Archaeloogy And Various Non-Biblical Sources. Sometimes people just do not want to accept the truth and only want to believe what they want to believe.

Archaeological evidence verifies the history recorded in the Bible, even if it takes time to surface. Biblical Archaeology’s Top 10 Discoveries of 2016 indicates this. But those who disagree with facts and the truth that man is born merely to die can say what they like. This does not change the fact of what has happened historically. For those who do not investigate the truth for themselves, but are merely opinionated, the Bible has some advice:
  • A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. (Proverbs 18:2)
The Gospel of Luke attests to the many historical events that occurred:
  • Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things which have been accomplished among us, just as they were delivered to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may know the truth concerning the things of which you have been informed. (Luke 1:1–4)
When it comes to history, people can believe whatever they want to believe. When it comes to the Bible, people can believe what they want to believe. However, the Bible attests to the reason why humans were created, possess freewill, why they are trapped in an evil world and why nobody has the power over death and only a knowledge of what it might mean to love someone, as humans lack the ability to truly love as God does. In fact, the Bible even tells us why people think they have the ability to love and cannot love. Love never ends. But humans think, even though they could have loved yesterday, they will express hate today, because they will have time to love tomorrow.

The Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ tells us that in this is love, a righteous man laid his life down so every human being could be saved, rather than judged for their misdeeds without being shown mercy. But being righteous, love also requires justice as well as mercy. This is because unjust love is not love (1 John 4:8-10).
