Archaeological evidence verifies the history recorded in the Bible, even if it takes time to surface. Biblical Archaeology’s Top 10 Discoveries of 2016 indicates this. But those who disagree with facts and the truth that man is born merely to die can say what they like. This does not change the fact of what has happened historically. For those who do not investigate the truth for themselves, but are merely opinionated, the Bible has some advice:
- A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. (Proverbs 18:2)
- Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things which have been accomplished among us, just as they were delivered to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may know the truth concerning the things of which you have been informed. (Luke 1:1–4)
The Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ tells us that in this is love, a righteous man laid his life down so every human being could be saved, rather than judged for their misdeeds without being shown mercy. But being righteous, love also requires justice as well as mercy. This is because unjust love is not love (1 John 4:8-10).
