When speaking of Christians claiming that their religion is the only truth, or Muslims for that matter, one has to understand what the word “religion” means.
Unfortunately, most people do not understand what religion really means. Too many people think religion is about ritual or mythology or fairy tales or political manipulation or whatever else floats your boat.
Religion is really the quest for the truth. True religion is the quest for the truth of existence. False religion could be any philosophy, football game or scientific sounding propaganda foisted down school-children’s throats as truth—of which there is plenty of this happening today. Even the mainstream media is full of propaganda and designed to deceive the public, because they know people are gullible.
Seeking the truth is a different ballgame to regurgitating what the ministry of truth wants to stuff down people’s throats, with the threat of decapitation when a technicolor yawn does not have the right odor—if you get the drift.
Truth is about individuals relating to one another. The only truth that we are going to know in life that is real to us is the pain that we experience. Not physical pain, but the emotional pain that we experience. Emotional pain can last for an eternity. Physical pain usually is so short lived we hardly notice it. Well, if our bodies are consumed with cancer, we might die in pain. But that cancer will not last for decades, if it is causing us pain—it will be very aggressive and intent on consuming its host.
Jesus spoke about healing the brokenhearted. He also said that we cannot be forgiven by our Heavenly Father, if we do not forgive others. So the Christian message is about forgiveness and healing. This was exemplified when Jesus was crucified on the cross.
- And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments. (Luke 23:34)
From what has been related so far, it is clear that Jesus did not die but was raised to the presence of Allah. However, there is one more point that is underlined by the Quran: JesusIslam was founded upon the teachings of the Muhammad. The truth about Islam is clearly understood. Islam teaches that on this Earth there shall be no paradise. Paradise comes after death. Therefore, we can extrapolate that the sooner that you are dead, the quicker you get into paradise.
will come back to earth. That Jesus will come back to earth towards the end of time is related in another verse 43:61. [detailed references are available in the book related to other verses: 3:45-48; 3:55; 4:157-159].
Jesus taught that there was not only paradise but also a judgment. Those who do not follow Him and put their trust in the Almighty, will not be raised into eternal life; instead, tragically, against the wishes of our Heavenly Father, their worm will never die.
A worm is something that eats its host from the inside. The Bible teaches that the canker worm will be the fact that those who rejected their salvation will not have their name in the book of life. It will have been rubbed out and they will have to exist in their lonesomeness with this regret for ever. It is a matter of person choice, really.
Religion is about seeking the answers to why we are born, why we have to suffer, and why we have to die. Those who neglect to this can scoff at people like me. But in having found something special and being willing to share: “Whoever wants it can come and get it,” is the call. People like me are not going to try and force it upon you with the threat of decapitation or any other physical assault. Because we have something special that enhances freewill, we merely speak of its availability. You can reject it, if you like. This is the truth.
