INTERPRETING PROPHECY HAS PRODUCED MUCH FASCINATION AND NOT JUST WITH THE QUATRAINS OF NOSTRADAMUS. There Are Many Who Have Proven Unable To Interpret The Prophecies In The Bible Incorrectly. This is particularly evident when ti comes to the prophecies of Daniel and the book of Revelation.

The most honest answer would have to be “yes” and “no”. Yes, when given the interpretation of the prophecy. No, when not having been given the interpretation of the prophecy.

Generally a prophecy does not need interpretation, because if a person is truly making a future prediction, it ought to be clear. If the prophecy is not clear, it is of no relevance; unless, of course, the prophecy is given in coded symbols for some reason. Such a prophecy would only be clear to those who possess the codes to decode it.

One reason prophecy may be coded is the prophet’s life may be threatened if certain individuals were to find out that the person was a seer. Another reason could be that the prophecies are for a future generation and, if a ruler understood them as referring to his dominion, because they are written down, they would be destroyed. Moreover, if such an individual were the ruler of this world, then those prophecies may be coded so he (being a liar) remains confused. In respect to the Bible, prophecies could be coded so that only those taught of God can understand them. Those not taught of God are unable to accurately interpret the coded prophecies, and thereby, they are proven to be the charlatans that they are.

The Bible is a book that has coded prophecy; also prophecy that has dual meanings.
Unfortunately, too many people who have no idea how to interpret the Bible attempt to do so only to make themselves look fools. How many times have people predicted the return of Lord Jesus Christ, since the failed return in 1844, and have been proven incorrect. All one has to do today is go on the internet and somebody will be claiming Lord Jesus Christ will be returning this year. Somebody else will be claiming that Jesus’ return will be next year. There are many more predictions for the coming years, just as there is a litany of failed prophecies for years gone by. Eventually, though, a person (such as myself) will get it right.

Jesus said to look at the signs around you, and you will see whether the likelihood of His return is close. Ever since the day of Pentecost the signs of the times have been evident in some form of another. In fact, Jesus returned at the day of Pentecost to reign in the hearts of those who received Him. Jesus has been returning to Earth every time a person opens the door of his or her heart to allow Him to come in and sup. The first time Jesus came to Earth in physical form, he was rejected. However, those who do receive Jesus, have Him indwell within—and this has been happening since the day of Pentecost.
  • Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)
  • He came to his own home, and his own people received him not. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:11-13)
  • You heard me say to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. (John 14:28)
Jesus returns to us when we are baptized by the Holy Spirit. Jesus sends the Holy Spirit. When we have received the Holy Spirit, we receive the same Spirit that is in the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Lord Jesus Christ that was given to Him from the Father. The Holy Spirit becomes Lord Jesus Christ within us—that is, those of us who have received Him—and He will declare the things that are to come.
  • Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convince[a]the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
If people desire the truth, they will call upon Lord Jesus Christ to guide them into all truth, and they will be set free from darkness. They will be able to see clearly what the unenlightened cannot understand. But this is not the case for anyone who speaks evil of the Ten Commandments, for these are the only Scriptures that God Himself wrote—there are no others. Yet people dismiss what God Himself wrote and claim they can interpret the Bible—even when the very Bible itself states that we are to take no notice of such false prophets and teachers.

If you do not understand the Ten Commandments, you will never interpret all the prophecies of the Bible. Some you might guess and get them right. But, from what I have seen, most people are playing games, claiming they have had a revelation, when in fact it is a false declaration (e.g. where in the Bible does is say there is going to be a 7 year tribulation—and there are many more false declarations, such as Jesus spending 3.5 years preaching after he was baptized by John—of which there is no evidence!).
