If you do believe in God but not the Bible or organized religion and you do no really understand what you believe, then you would be confused.
One of the most common problems that besiege people is confusion. Too many people have inchoate ideas of what something might be, but they do not understand how to define the concepts that are forming within their psyche nor what it is that they think they might understand.
Lawyers like to define everything so that there is no confusion. But when lawyers want to confuse they begin to resort to smudging matters by using definitions in such a way that they are no longer definitive. This is why there is voter fraud and large numbers of lawyers used to defend criminals, who rely on corrupt judges drawn from a pool of corrupt legal eagles, who know that the the judgments have to go in favor of the rotten ones with whom they identify.
When people speak of having clouded minds or confused minds, it is no coincident they mean the same thing: foggy thoughts ahead.
Define God. Define Bible. Define organized religion.
Organized religion can be any spurious organization that is used to capture a person’s devotion—name the sport, hobby, pastime; name the addiction.
A Bible can be any book that exists as a manual. However, if you are talking about a manual for having a relationship with the Eternal God, your Heavenly Father, then it would be wise, as stated in the book of Proverbs, the book of wisdom, not to be an opinionated fool who delights not in understanding,
- A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. (Proverbs 18:2)
God can be anything to which you devote your attention. Nevertheless, the true God is the One within Whom we live and move and have our being. The Infinite God is the Creator of the Universe and, though finite individuals, we are invited to seek Him out and invite Him to live in Him according to the Bible.
People often confuse “believing” with “wishful thinking” and do not understand that if a person truly believes something to be true, this does not necessarily mean that it is true, but that a person has been convinced what is being believed is the truth.
If you believe certain events took place millions of years ago, even though you have no proof, the fact that you accept the idea to be true is evidence that you have been convinced by what you have heard and read repeated about the events. This does not mean that you have not been deceived my mere mortals with an agenda to indoctrinate you into their beliefs, because they oppose what is really the obvious reality.
If you believe in God, you may mean you accept that the Infinite God created the Universe and knows everyone that is born—even the number of the hairs found on every person’s head. If you truly believe this to be the case, then you will seek Him out and ask Him to show you the truth so that you will not be deceived.
If you want to know the truth, you will want to know why you were born only to die. You will want to know also why there is so much suffering in the world. Moreover, you will want to know why people have a knowledge of love but an inability to actually love, because love never ends. Furthermore, you will want to know not only why the people on Earth are so evil in the things that they do to each other, but why evil exists.
If you are like myself, you will seek God to know the truth and desire to understand why we are born into a futile existence, full of injustice and void of true love.
If you are a person who accepts that the evidence points to the Creation being created by a Creator, but you do not know Him, and even though you disregard the Bible and organized religion, because you believe that they are corrupt, you will seek the Author of Life out. Nevertheless, much depends on what you believe about God, people and whether you hate evil.
If you know the Creator of the Universe and the assurance of eternal life with the joy of salvation, because you know the true God, you are like myself, a Christian who knows the Father and the Son.
