However, those who have the truth are not offended by the truth.

When a person becomes a Christian—and the only way this is possible is through the second birth—one knows the truth. Those who believe they can fake it are fakes. There are many fakes. This is why people cannot be a true Christian and reject Lord Jesus Christ. But it is possible to fake it and definitely not make it.

There are many people who fake so much of what they say and do, who think that by being dishonest, they can say they are honest.

In America, the politicians lie so blatantly, along with the press, that they think they are trustworthy, even though they are faking the truth. Not only does this happen in America, but all over the world.

Firstly, a person, who is a genuine Christian, can never become an ex-Christian. A person who is a fake Christian—as many are—can claim he or she has become an ex-Christian, but that person was never a true Christian in the first place.

• I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. (Revelation 2:23)

If I said that I have never lied, I would be a liar. Since Lord Jesus Christ has become real to me, I have no need to lie and speak with a forked tongue. As a Christian, telling a lie really hurts. Before becoming a Christian, telling a lie was just a matter of opening one’s mouth.

As for those Pentecostals and Charismatics who speak in fake tongues, if they tell lies, even what they may call white lies, they speak with forked tongues—not fake tongues.

According to the Bible, those who actually do speak in the spiritual language, speak mysteries. The ability is a gift that edifies the one who possesses it when speaking to God.

• For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries. (1 Corinthians 14:2)

What is amazing is how so many people think they can fake it until they make it, when the gift that they are faking is from God, and those who are given the gift from God are also given the responsibility to use that gift correctly. Those who do not have the gift, ought to seek it, if they want it.

God knows your heart. Jesus said that those who have an honest and good heart bring forth fruit. Such fruit would be that which reflects what is expected of someone who possesses the Holy Spirit. You will know those who truly possess the Holy Spirit by their fruits.

Do I accept the truth that angels exist? Yes. Why? Because I have seen angels.

Some people believe in angels like desert jins that may be good or bad. These kinds of angels are like goblins, pixies, elves and leprechauns. They might do good and provide advice. The Bible states that the Devil himself can appear even as an angel of light. There are fallen angels, like Lucifer, as well as those who remain with God. If the Lucifer appears as an angel of light, he might call himself Gabriel. If such an angel were to appear to anybody, since Jesus of Nazareth died on the Cross of Calvary, and say that people have to be killed in the name of God—we know that this could only be the Devil in disguise.

God is love and desires all people to come to the knowledge of the truth. The Bible states that angels exist to help those who desire to know the truth. We are talking about people who hate evil and delight in what is good, right and true.

The direct answer to your question is some translators prefer to use the word “descendants” rather than the word “seed” because they are trying to capture what they believe is meant by the term when paraphrasing or when expressing a dynamic equivalent—depending upon the charter for their translation.

We read in the book of Romans that all who believe the promise are descendants of Abraham. Therefore the seed of Abraham brought forth an abundance of descendants.

However, the reference to us taking up our own cross and following Jesus is figurative. If a person seeks to be pedantic, bear in mind, the Bible does not say that the tree has to be alive, nor does it prohibit the tree from being cut down or uprooted. We are told that the person must not remain on the tree over night, even though a person who is hanged on a tree and dies is accursed by God.

The law only becomes a curse if we disobey it. Those who take up their cross to follow Jesus will be raised into newness of life, but not to disobey the commandments of God.

Now according to the so-called experts, who will attempt to indoctrinate you with their spiel, the Moon revolving around a spinning Earth orbiting the Sun like clockwork, but at unbelievable speeds, occurs by chance. Yet, contrary to the mathematical laws of chance (a pure science), this is impossible, unless predetermined.

In the beginning, God created. And what God created was good. There was a time that evil did not exist. Genesis, chapter one, informs us that this is the case. Those who reject it, must realize they were created with freewill for a purpose—surely they cannot be so foolish to think that we are born to die and there is no reason why this is so. Disobedience is sin. When people sin they enter into an unseen state of existence. Just like we cannot see a person’s emotional state itself, but we can see how a person may be affected emotionally; so, too, sin reveals itself as a violation of relationships. Instead of warmth and love, sin creates coldness and hatred, which usually displays itself in hostility.

In the book of Hebrews, we read the reason the Israelites, after leaving Egypt, spent forty years in the wilderness until those over the age of twenty had all died, before going into the Promised Land. (Numbers 14:28–30)—Joshua and Caleb being the exceptions (Numbers 26:64-65):

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness, where your fathers put me to the test and saw my works for forty years. Therefore I was provoked with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their hearts;they have not known my ways.’ As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”

Take care, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we share in Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end, while it is said, “Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

Who were they that heard and yet were rebellious? Was it not all those who left Egypt under the leadership of Moses? And with whom was he provoked forty years? The Bible informs us that there was disobedience because of unbelief and deceitfulness of heart in those who resisted the voice of God and become hardened towards the Holy Spirit’s promptings. Rebellion is the final act; once unbelief becomes manifest.

Interestingly, atheists base their unscientific assumptions that God does not exist upon their unbelief. Why do they suffer unbelief? Because they desire to disobey the royal law of relationship that is defined in the Ten Commandments that were written by God Himself. These commandments are about relationships. But those who want to disregard relationships because of their own selfishness will be disobedient, and the corollary of disobedience is unbelief.

Those who disobey the truth of the Ten Commandments effectively allow the god of this world the right to guide their thinking. Hence, we read that the god of this world blinds people’s minds to the truth in the book of Second Corinthians, chapter four, verse four.

Just as people cannot isolate their emotions and view them under a microscope, or put them in a petri dish, neither do people see the Spirit of the Power of Air that reigns in their lives if they disobey what is written in the Ten Commandments. Evidently a significant number of the people who were in the wilderness were exactly the same as all those those who do not have a righteous relationship with our Heavenly Father. They suffered from unbelief because they preferred to be morally disobedient.

When you talk about every aspect of Christianity, you have to distinguish between Christendom, matters pertaining to Christianity that have no biblical authority, and what is required of a true Christian.

According to the Bible, every person who believes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and who is baptized will be saved. Now believing in the name of Lord Jesus Christ requires a person to acknowledge that Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Anyone who does not accept that Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God cannot know the Father.

Now when it comes to accepting the truth about the existence of the spiritual realm, Jesus told us to consider the wind. You cannot see it. But you can feel it. You cannot catch the wind to put it under a microscope to analyse it. The wind is the result of the movement of molecules that consists of oxygen and hydrogen and, probably, various other gases. But determining the gases is not the same as catching the wind. Yet we feel the wind, even if we cannot catch it and put it in a jar for all to see.

(Instruments might detect the wind, but little do those conducting the experiments know that they are also detecting the existence of the Kingdom of God—for it is as the wind—only they will scoff at this idea; yet they will believe that a minor mutation is evidence of birds turning into dinosaurs, or something else just as ludicrous.)

Jesus said that we must be born spiritually if we are to see the Kingdom of God and if we are to enter into the Kingdom of God. Evidently, seeing the Kingdom is like seeing a house but not entering it, because you are still outside. Nevertheless, when a person is born spiritually, Jesus equates this with the wind.

• The wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know whence it comes or whither it goes; so it is with every one who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8

The wind blows where it wills, but even if you do not hear it, you will feel it. Likewise, we do not see the Kingdom of God until we are born of it. But we know that there is a matter of good and evil that we all have to acknowledge when it comes to relationships. Evil is harm caused to another.

Good and evil within relationships is defined by the Ten Commandments. For those who are members of the Kingdom of God, the Ten Commandments are known as the Royal Law.

• If you really fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well. (James 2:8)

Now some people think of the Royal Law as the golden rule. Only it is not a rule that one has to abide by, because this is a divine principle, a fundamental truth, a law of life that is found only among those who are genuine members of the Kingdom of God.

You imply in your question that people are taking the name of God in vain if they do not keep every variation of expression or rule within Christendom that is performed or required as a part of certain traditions that claim to be adherents of Christianity. This is a very simple creed that requires us to believe in the Son of God and allow the reality of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ to give us the power to overcome the world and its evil ways.

Those who are born of God are not deceived if they continue towards the Kingdom of God and enter through its gates. People who do enter into the Kingdom of God are always known to demonstrate a changed lifestyle, not because they are law keepers, but because the love of God becomes evident in their lives and what they do is what the law of God requires.
